About Us

Our History

Union Park Press is an independent publisher specializing in books about the arts, history, and culture of Boston and New England. Our goal is to bring these cultural riches to life with sophisticated writing and a fresh, contemporary point of view. As an independent publisher, we seek to give voice to authors and topics often overlooked by larger publishing houses.

Union Park Press was started in 2007 by Nicole Vecchiotti, and launched its first title, Discovering the Boston Harbor Islands in June 2008 which was followed by The Die-Hard Sports Fan’s Guide to Boston in 2009. In 2010 Boston Baby: A Field Guide for Urban Parents, Boston’s Gardens & Green Spaces, and Under Cape Cod Waters joined the bunch.
